As of approximately two weeks ago Yahoo "You're In Another Mail App" popup occurs within Outlook 365. Our Outlook 365 software has two Yahoo accounts. Only one is problematic with continuous popups stating "You're In Another Mail App". The settings are identical for both Yahoo accounts except for the obvious: the email account and password. Both use Yahoo OTP, the same servers, same ports and so on. I've followed every instruction only both AI and non AI such as removing the account, re-added the account, checked subscribed folders, made the Yahoo account a primary account..to all with no success. What I found was WebView2 would initiate (owned by Microsoft) and is the root cause of these Yahoo popup occurrences. I've attached a screen capture so you can see all of the instances within Task Manager under the Outlook entry. Once I terminate the WebView tasks the issues goes away.
What's even more strange is I continue to receive email to the one problematic Yahoo account. My temp solution for the time being is I have renamed the mesedgewebview2.exe to msedgewebview2STOP.exe located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\147.0.3912.98 . I realize this is not an ideal solution as there are inner workings with Outlook and this mesedgewebview2.exe. I hoping someone will post a viable solution after reviewing the screen capture as this significantly impacts my day. And PS yes I have also used Google to sign, I have authenticated the Yahoo prompt on my phone "Is This You", etc.
