student discount on certifications

Setting “Student” in the interest survey is only the first step; it does not itself trigger academic verification or discounts.

To get the student discount on Microsoft Certification exams:

1. Make sure the Learn profile is correctly set up as a student:
   • Sign in to the Learn profile.
   • Complete the interest survey and select Career Paths → Student.
   • Finish the survey.
2. Complete academic verification:
   • After identifying as a student in the certification profile, the system must verify academic status (typically via school email or other methods, depending on region and offer).
   • Once verification succeeds, the student discount will automatically appear during exam registration and checkout for eligible exams.
3. If verification or the discount prompt does not appear:
   • Check that academic verification has not expired (valid for 12 months; after that, it must be repeated).
   • If still not seeing any verification prompt or discount at checkout, contact Credentials Support for help with the academic verification process and discount application.

Student discounts are available in most countries/regions (except India and China), and a refund is not provided if an exam is paid at commercial price before verification is completed.
