**All of a sudden I cannot see my ******@comcast.net Contact in list of Contacts when I open the the Address Book in Classic outlook. I used to be able to see and use it. I tried Importing a .pst file from another computer, but I still would not show up. When switching to the Contact list on the left side of Outlook's display, see ****@comcast.net among the listed Contact listing, but when I click on it, I get the following message:

Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. Please advise.

When generating this message, I am logged into ******@hotmail.com

The Comcast Contacts folder is likely present but not configured as an address book, or Outlook is pointing to an invalid/old Contacts folder. Use these steps in classic Outlook for Windows while signed into the profile that contains the Comcast account:

    1. In the Folder Pane (left side), go to the Contacts/People view and locate the Comcast Contacts folder that appears but cannot be opened.
    2. Right‑click that Contacts folder and select Properties.
    3. Go to the Outlook Address Book tab.
    4. Check Show this folder as an e‑mail Address Book.
    5. Select OK and then reopen the Address Book (Ctrl+Shift+B) to see if the Comcast Contacts now appear and can be opened.

If there are multiple Contacts folders (for example, two folders named Contacts, or one with a folder icon and one with a contact‑card icon), Outlook may be using a newly created empty Contacts folder:

    1. In Contacts/People view, identify which folder actually contains the Comcast contacts (this usually has a standard folder icon).
    2. Drag all contacts from that folder into the Contacts folder that has the contact‑card icon (this is the folder Outlook treats as the default Contacts folder).
    3. After moving, open the Address Book again and verify that the contacts are visible and the folder opens without error.

If the Comcast Contacts folder still cannot be opened after these steps, the folder may be invalid or damaged. In that case, export the contacts from a working environment (such as another computer or Outlook on the web) to a .csv file and import them into the working default Contacts folder in classic Outlook.
