Getting an error when I click "submit"

"Unexpected error

We encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. If this issue continues, please contact site support."

I have tried even in an incognito mode and different browser. I have even contacted Pearson VUE customer support, where they require MS ID or Candidate ID, which is not available in learning portal, so unable to provide it.

Not even support email is available to contact and resolve the issue.

The error message during exam registration is typically caused by an issue on the exam delivery partner side (usually Pearson VUE), such as a blocked account or a technical problem with their scheduling system.

Since browser and incognito attempts did not help, the next step is to contact the appropriate support channel rather than retrying the same flow:

    1. If the error appears when scheduling or purchasing the exam (for example, after entering address or payment details), contact Pearson VUE support directly, as they handle Microsoft exam scheduling and account blocks. Use the Pearson VUE contact links listed under Exam appointment and scheduling issues or technical issues with exam delivery.
    2. If the issue is not clearly on Pearson VUE’s side or you are unsure, open a case with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can investigate your Learn/Certification profile and route to Pearson VUE if needed:
      • Go to the online support request page for Microsoft Credentials.
      • Ensure Product family is set to “Learning” and Product or Service to “Microsoft Credentials”.
      • Select the closest category to exam registration/scheduling.
      • Choose “Professional No Charge” as the support type.
      • Provide a clear summary of the issue, your Learn username, and screenshots of the error.

For similar “unexpected error” scheduling issues (for example, PL-300 or MB-500), support has confirmed that Pearson VUE account blocks (ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK) or other Pearson-side problems were the root cause, and users had to work with Pearson VUE via the Certification Support links to get unblocked.

If the problem is with registering for a Virtual Training Day rather than a certification exam, contact Microsoft Credentials Support as above; in prior cases, they identified synchronization delays between Microsoft’s event system and ON24 registration and advised re-registering for a future session once the issue was resolved.
