Click Sign-in options
Look for:
Password icon
Select it and enter your Microsoft account password
If you see this option, you’re saved — once logged in:
Go to Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options
Remove and re-add PIN
Re-setup Face ID

Surface Laptop on one year old Face ID suddenly stopped working with forgotten PIN. No option for PIN resetting on lock screen. Have tried restarting many times, repeat error message: "You've entered in incorrect PIN several times. To try again, enter A1B2C3 below. Blank space below for Challenge phrase [which I've forgotten too] . Sign in Options are Face ID [suddenly not working] and Enter PIN [forgotten, unable to reset] I tried following directions for a computer reset but same screen reappears. Help?
