Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
To stop Outlook from blocking important “no reply” emails from the school district in new Outlook for Windows, add the sender or domain to Safe Senders and remove it from any blocked lists.
- Open new Outlook for Windows.
- If multiple accounts are configured, select the account that receives the school district emails.
- Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email.
- In Blocked senders and Blocked domains, look for the school district’s email address (for example,
******@schooldistrict.org) or its domain (for example,schooldistrict.org). If found, select it and remove it. - In the same Junk email settings page, add the school district’s sending address or domain to your Safe Senders list (follow the guidance in Add recipients of my email messages to the Safe Senders List so messages from that address or domain are not treated as junk).
- Select Save.
- Check the Junk Email folder and move any misclassified messages from the school district back to the Inbox. Note that items in Junk Email are automatically removed after 14 days and cannot be recovered after that.
If using Outlook on the web or Outlook.com for the same mailbox, repeat similar steps there under Settings > Mail > Junk email so the address/domain is not blocked at the service level.
