The error when trying to schedule or purchase a Microsoft certification exam (such as AI-900) is commonly caused by an issue on the exam provider side (Pearson VUE) or with the certification profile/offer on the Microsoft side.
From similar reported cases:
- If the error text or code indicates a Pearson VUE block (for example,
ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK), this usually means the Pearson VUE account is blocked, often due to multiple failed payment attempts. In that situation, the block must be removed directly by Pearson VUE support.- Use the Microsoft Certification Support entry point at: https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport and follow the guidance there to reach Pearson VUE support so they can check and unblock the account if needed.
- If there is no specific Pearson VUE error code, or the issue is with applying a voucher/discount or completing the last step of registration, use the official Microsoft certification support channel:
- Go to the certification support page at: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
- Open a support request under the Certification/Exams category, describing that an “unexpected error” occurs at the final step of booking AI-900. Include screenshots and the exact time and region, so support can investigate the backend issue.
These issues cannot be fixed from the client side; they require either Pearson VUE or Microsoft Certification Support to review and correct the account or booking configuration.
