Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Based on the described behavior (only Discord mail missing, other mail working, junk/blocked/rules already checked), the remaining action is for the sender (Discord) to work with Microsoft’s sender‑side support so delivery issues to Outlook.com/Hotmail can be investigated.
Do the following:
- Since messages from Discord are not arriving and there is no visible error on your side, contact Discord Support from any address you can access (for example, the alternate email you are using now).
- Ask Discord Support explicitly to review why messages to your Hotmail/Outlook.com address are not being delivered and to follow Microsoft’s sender guidance documented for Outlook.com.
- Provide them with your affected Outlook/Hotmail address and the approximate timestamps of recent attempts (password reset, verification, support replies) so they can check their sending logs.
- Ask them to consult Microsoft’s “Sender Support in Outlook.com” guidance for troubleshooting delivery and any possible blocks or reputation issues on their side.
If, after Discord has followed the sender guidance, messages are still not delivered, use Outlook.com’s in‑product support so Microsoft can check the mailbox from the service side:
- Sign in to Outlook.com with the affected account.
- Select Help on the menu bar.
- Enter a short description such as “Not receiving any mail from Discord (password reset/verification). Other mail works.”
- If self‑help suggestions do not resolve the issue, scroll down to Still need help? and select Yes to contact support.
Because the problem is specific to one sender and you have already checked junk, blocked senders, rules, and mailbox quota, resolution requires coordination with the sender (Discord) and, if needed, Outlook.com support reviewing the mailbox and any server‑side filtering or blocks.
