Hello Microsoft Support,

Tenant ID: 95c66bdd-0d02-4d82-9d33-794d97b65154

We are experiencing a critical issue with our Azure AD tenant. All guest invitations are now failing with the following error from the Graph API:

{

  "error": {

    "code": "Forbidden",

    "message": "Invitations are blocked for this directory due to suspicious activity. Please contact Microsoft support for help.",

    "innerError": {

      "request-id": "15eea21b-1e99-407c-b02f-257bd2102d51",

      "date": "2026-04-23T12:41:42",

      "client-request-id": "15eea21b-1e99-407c-b02f-257bd2102d51"

    }

  }

}

Context of Issue: We are the Global Administrators for this tenant. We have an automation that enables our colleagues to invite customer accounts to this tenant, which is in turn linked to a platform linked to the tenant. That way, they are able to access some websites with SSO,

Invitations and removals from this tenant are happening randomly from time to time, depending on the need.

Recently, we have noticed that we cannot invite guest users anymore.

Impact:

  • We can no longer invite any new guests.
  • Our onboarding of legitimate users is fully blocked.
  • This is affecting critical business operations and timelines.

Request:

  • Please review and remove the "suspicious activity" block on our directory's invitation capability.
  • Please confirm any guidelines or best practices to avoid hitting this block in the future.
