A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
On iPad, Version History is available only if the PowerPoint file is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint and has been saving there (with AutoSave) while being edited.
To try to get back the finished version of the assignment:
- Confirm the file is in OneDrive or SharePoint
- In PowerPoint for iPad, open the file from the OneDrive or SharePoint location where it is stored (not just “On my iPad”).
- Open Version History from the file title
- With the presentation open, tap the file name at the top of the window.
- Tap Version history.
- A list of prior versions should appear if the file has been saved online.
- Open and restore the correct version
- Tap an earlier version in the list to open it in a separate (read‑only) window.
- If that version is the finished assignment, use Restore (or save a copy) so it becomes the current version.
If the file was never stored in OneDrive/SharePoint, or Version History shows no earlier versions, there is no built‑in way to recover a different version of that same file on iPad.
