Purchased Software is reporting itself as expired

In January I purchased "Visual Studio Professional 2026". 90 days after that purchase a message appeared claiming the "trial period" had expired, and I am blocked from using the tool. There is verbiage about my subscription type no allowing me to have the product. There is also some evidence that arose while trying to get help that the system thinks I am a business rather than a home user.

I am suspecting that my MSDN history is to blame. For many years I had a personal license for MSDN which I dropped after my employer (Boeing) paid for a subscription at work. This latter license was used to download VSE2019 to my home machine at one point. After I retired, I purchased VSP2022 which I was using until January of this year when I purchased VSP2026.

Part of the confusion may be that when I first purchased an MSDN subscription I was asked for an e-mail account for contact purposes (Windows login in the current form had yet to appear) and I used my work e-mail (******@boeing.com). This caused some confusion when Boeing gave me a subscription, since the Boeing one was registered under the same (now) account. I thought this was resolved when I terminated my personal subscription, and all purchases since have been made with the ******@live.com account I use at home.

My "purchase history" for ******@live.com shows the purchase in January, the "subscription portal" shows nothing. The latter is not a surprise since I did not buy a subscription, and the VSP2022 product (which is still working) does not show either.

I have tried various chat and help options and followed their suggestions, including signing out and then back in, and reinstalling the product from your download site. No Joy.

How do I proceed from here?
