Redeem Codes as Certified MEA

For Microsoft Education Ambassadors, “codes” are typically either:

1. Product keys (for Microsoft 365, Office, Windows, or other software), or
2. Exam or training vouchers/discounts for Microsoft certifications.

Use the appropriate process below depending on the type of code you have.

1. Redeem Microsoft 365 or Office product keys
2. Go to https://setup.office.com/.
3. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for your education benefits.
4. Enter the 25-character product key.
5. Select Next and follow the prompts to associate the license with the account and install Office.

2. Redeem Windows activation codes
3. On the Windows device, open Settings.
4. Go to Activation.
5. Select Change product key.
6. Enter the 25-character Windows product key and complete activation.
7. Redeem Microsoft or Xbox gift cards / general 25-character codes to the account

If the code is a Microsoft gift card or similar 25-character code that adds balance or a subscription:

Option A – Via redeem portal

1. Go to https://redeem.microsoft.com/.
2. Sign in with the personal Microsoft account that should receive the benefit.
3. Enter or paste the 25-character code and follow the on-screen instructions.

Option B – Via Microsoft account site

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/ and sign in.
2. Open Subscriptions.
3. Choose Redeem a code or gift card. If not visible, go to Payment & billing > Redeem.
4. Enter or paste the 25-character code and select Next.
5. Redeem certification exam vouchers or discounts (if your MEA benefits include exam codes)

If the code is an exam voucher or you have an exam discount attached to your profile:

A. When the discount is attached to the Learn profile (no visible code)

1. Go to the Microsoft Credentials site and choose the certification/exam.
2. Select Schedule exam.
3. Sign in with the same Microsoft Learn profile/email used for the MEA or event benefit.
4. Proceed to schedule through Pearson VUE.
5. At checkout, any eligible discount attached to the profile is applied automatically on the Pearson VUE payment page.

This is similar to event-based discounts where “The discount is applied to the Learn profile for the email address used to register for the event. The discount is automatically applied at the final stage of checkout.”

B. When a specific exam voucher code is provided

1. From the certification page, select Schedule exam and choose Pearson VUE.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft Learn profile.
3. Complete the scheduling steps until the Pearson VUE payment and billing page.
4. Select Add Voucher or Promo Code.
5. Enter the voucher code and apply it to reduce the exam price (often to 0 if it is a full voucher).

This follows the documented process: “On the screen where you enter payment and billing information, select ‘Add Voucher or Promo Code’ and follow the on-screen instructions to redeem your voucher.”

If MEA benefits are delivered as institutional exam vouchers (through a school or program advisor), they may also be redeemed via Pearson VUE or Certiport, depending on how the voucher was issued. The institution’s program advisor or Microsoft Learn for Educators contact typically confirms which delivery provider to use.

If a specific MEA portal or code type is not recognized by these flows, contact the program advisor or the support channel that issued the MEA benefit for exact redemption instructions.
