Hi Microsoft Support Team,

I urgently need assistance accessing my certification dashboard for my AZ-204 exam, which is scheduled for May 3rd.

Originally, I registered for this exam using my previous company email address. However, my company's contract with Microsoft ended, and I no longer have access to that work account.

I contacted Pearson VUE customer support, and they informed me that my exam registration and MCID are currently linked to my personal Gmail address.

The issue is that when I attempt to log into learn.microsoft.com using this personal Gmail address to view my certification profile, I receive an error stating that the domain is incorrect or not accepted.

Because I cannot log in, I will not be able to launch my scheduled exam on May 3rd. Could you please help me resolve this login issue or merge my previous work profile with my personal account?

I have my MCID, Pearson VUE confirmation details, and both email addresses ready to provide via Private Message.

Thank you for your assistance!

Access to the Learn profile and certification dashboard requires successful sign-in with at least one valid Microsoft Learn login account. If access to the original work account is lost and that account was the only login on the Learn profile, the profile and its data (including certifications and scheduled exams) cannot be accessed or transferred.

However, Pearson VUE has already indicated that the exam registration is now associated with the personal Gmail address. The next steps are:

    1. Recover or validate the Microsoft account for the Gmail address
    2. Understand limitations if the original profile used only a personal Microsoft login
      • If the previous Learn profile used a personal Microsoft account that is no longer accessible and no alternate work or school account was added, that profile and its data cannot be recovered or transferred. Microsoft Credentials Support cannot restore or move the contents of an inaccessible Learn profile.
    3. Use profile merge only if both profiles are accessible
      • Learn profiles can be merged only when there is access to both profiles and only one of them uses a personal Microsoft login account.
      • To merge:
        1. Sign in to the Learn profile that will be kept.
        2. In login account management, choose “add login account.”
        3. If the added login is tied to another Learn profile, a merge is triggered and all learning progress, credentials, and transcripts are combined into the signed-in profile.
      • Merging is irreversible and requires that the accounts involved can all be signed into; it cannot be used to recover a profile that is no longer accessible.
    4. Confirm the scheduled exam once sign-in is working
      • After successfully signing in with the Gmail-based Microsoft account, open the Learn profile credentials area to verify that the AZ-204 exam appointment appears there.
      • If the exam is not visible after confirming sign-in with the correct account, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for help with missing certifications or exams.
    5. If exam access remains blocked close to the exam date
      • If sign-in cannot be restored in time, work with Pearson VUE directly (using the Pearson VUE support channels referenced in the certification support documentation) to reschedule or confirm access to the exam appointment.

For any remaining issues specifically related to missing exams/certifications on the Learn profile or account linkage (after sign-in is working), open a case with Microsoft Credentials Support using the official support channel.
