My Azure tenant is blocked due to inactivity (AADSTS5000225), and I cannot log in to create a support request as I have no tenant.
Everything I try and ChatGPT tells me to do, including using new email and credit card have ended up in same place.
Anyone know how to contact support without being logged in or how to get a new azure account?

The error AADSTS5000225 means the tenant is blocked due to inactivity and, after a short grace period, is permanently deleted and can’t be recovered or used to sign in.

    For an inactive tenant:

    • A tenant that remains blocked for more than 20 days is deleted and isn’t recoverable.
    • After deletion, it isn’t possible to reactivate it or use it to open a support request.

For tenants that are still within the 20‑day window after being blocked:

    • An administrator can request reactivation by contacting Microsoft using the global support phone numbers listed in the guidance for inaccessible tenants. This contact path does not require signing in to the Azure portal.

Given the tenant has been inactive for about five years:

    • The tenant is far beyond the 20‑day reactivation window and is permanently deleted.
    • The only viable path is to start over with a new tenant and subscription.

To get a new Azure account/tenant:

    1. Go through the standard Azure sign‑up flow described in the sign‑up troubleshooting article. Ensure:
      • Profile information (email, address, phone) is valid and consistent.
      • Credit card information is correct and matches bank records.
    2. If sign‑up fails with eligibility or account‑type errors, follow the specific guidance:
      • If seeing messages like “We cannot proceed with sign-up…” or “You are not eligible for an Azure subscription”, verify profile and card details and try a different browser or InPrivate session.
      • If the account is tied to an unmanaged Microsoft Entra directory or a Microsoft 365 Developer Program account, use a different account for Azure or perform an admin takeover of the unmanaged directory as described in the sign‑up troubleshooting article.
    3. If still unable to sign up, use the “Contact us for help” options in the sign‑up troubleshooting article (Azure forums, @AzureSupport, or opening a support request if any support plan/subscription is available under another account).

If there is any other Microsoft 365/Azure/Intune account with admin rights that is still accessible, that account can be used to contact Azure support and open a ticket about sign‑up problems.
