What exactly are you signing into, a certain website? Or app?
Are you using a work/school assigned account?

I saw the question is asked in the Edge category, but you mentioned reinstalling Outlook, so is this when signing into a certain website in Edge, or signing into the Outlook app?
Hello EmilyS726 - it was signing into the Outlook app - I am unable to access my Hotmail account from my iPhone - either app or via the web. I tried a different browser - from Safari to Edge - the same error message.

You said it was isolated to this device only. Is this a work/school assigned device? Or have you ever signed into a work/school account on this device prior?
It's my private phone and my private email - no, I never signed into a work/ school account on my phone.
This error is specifically to work/school account.
Did you purchase this phone brand new? Or refurbished or used?
its a brand new iPhone - I was going to take it back to the shop - it is 3-4 months old only.
or do a factory reset, especially if this issue is unique to this particular device only
