If the account was blocked while trying to pay for a Microsoft certification exam, the block is typically on the exam delivery provider (Pearson VUE) side, not on the Microsoft 365 subscription itself.

When scheduling Microsoft exams, an ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK condition usually means Pearson VUE has blocked the account, often due to multiple failed payment attempts. In that case, the block must be removed by Pearson VUE support before the exam can be booked again.

    Action steps:

    1. Go to the certification support entry point: https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport
    2. Use the Pearson VUE support link provided there.
    3. Contact Pearson VUE support and explain that the account is blocked when trying to pay/schedule the exam (mention if you see ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK in the URL or messages).
    4. Work with Pearson VUE to lift the block, then try scheduling and paying for the exam again.

If, instead, the issue is that the Microsoft billing account itself is blocked (for example, in the Microsoft 365 commerce/billing portal), some actions such as adding new subscriptions or transferring subscriptions are disabled until support intervenes. In that case:

    1. If the subscription was bought directly from Microsoft, contact Microsoft Support as described in the billing article.
    2. If working through a partner or enterprise agreement, contact the partner or account manager.

Be aware that if a blocked billing account is not resolved, it can eventually lead to subscription suspension and account termination, so contacting support promptly is important.
