Welcome Dan Trottier,
I understand how frustrating it can be when you reply to a group text using Microsoft Phone Link on Windows 11, your response is sent as separate messages to individual recipients instead of staying within the group conversation.
To help identify the fastest resolution, please confirm the following
- Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone with Phone Link?
- Does this behavior happen with all group messages or only with specific contacts or groups?
In the meantime, you can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Open Phone Link on your PC > Settings
Step 2: Select Features and make sure messaging and sync options are fully enabled
Step 3: On your phone, ensure Phone Link (Link to Windows on Android) has full permissions, including SMS, contacts, and background activity.
- On Android, check app permissions in system settings.
Step 4: Verify that your phone’s default messaging app supports proper group MMS/RCS replies.
Step 5: Restart both the PC and the phone, then reconnect Phone Link.
Step 6: Check for updates:
- Update Phone Link from Microsoft Store.
- Update Link to Windows and the phone OS.
I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.
