To install Microsoft Office apps on an Android phone:

    1. On the Android phone, open the Google Play Store.
    2. Decide whether to:
      • Install the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app (which combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), or
      • Install individual apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
    3. In Google Play, search for either:
      • Microsoft 365 Copilot (or use the download link: https://aka.ms/OfficeAppAndroid), or
      • Each app name (for example, “Microsoft Word”, “Microsoft Excel”).
    4. Tap the app in the results, then tap Install.
      • If the button shows Update instead of Install, tap Update to get the latest version.
    5. After installation, open the app and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the existing Microsoft 365/Office subscription on the computers.
    6. Repeat for any other Office apps needed.

If using Office 365 operated by 21Vianet, download the Office for Android apps from the local Android Store linked in the article.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

As mentioned by the AI, the Microsoft 365 Copilot app no longer includes the Word, Excel, or PowerPoint apps for document editing. After recent updates, this app is now fully focused on AI functions, such as generating images with Copilot or scanning documents,etc...

To use Office apps on Android, you’ll need to download each app individually from the Google Play Store, such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
