Hello,

I am currently using Power Automate Desktop to implement SAP GUI automation and would like to request support regarding a critical compatibility issue related to the application architecture (32-bit vs 64-bit).

🔹 Current Environment

Windows OS: 64-bit
SAP GUI for Windows: 64-bit (company standard)
Power Automate Desktop: 32-bit (x86)
- When installed via Microsoft Store or standard installation method, Power Automate Desktop is automatically installed as 32-bit (x86)
- Power Automate Desktop Version: 2.52.62.25009

🔹 Issue Description

To my understanding, SAP GUI automation requires that SAP GUI and Power Automate Desktop use the same architecture (bitness) in order for SAP UI Automation to function properly.

However, in the current environment:

SAP GUI is 64-bit
Power Automate Desktop is 32-bit (x86)

This mismatch causes the following issues:

SAP UI elements (text fields, buttons, etc.) cannot be identified
SAP Automation actions do not function as expected
Automation must rely solely on keyboard/mouse-based workarounds
Overall automation stability and maintainability are significantly reduced

In short, the inability to install Power Automate Desktop as 64-bit is a major blocker for SAP automation development.

Could you please provide an official download link for the Power Automate Desktop 64-bit (x64) offline installer? (Non–Microsoft Store version)

In many managed corporate environments, Microsoft Store installations are restricted and Power Automate Desktop is automatically deployed as x86. Are there any official guidelines or recommended approaches to install the 64-bit version of Power Automate Desktop in such environments?

Additionally, could you please confirm whether SAP UI Automation is officially supported in a setup using SAP GUI 64-bit and Power Automate Desktop 64-bit?

@RLWA32 recognized that Power Automate was a 32‑bit installation because it was installed under the path C:\Program Files (x86), which indicates an x86 (32‑bit) installation. While waiting for a response, I found a workaround through another community and was able to resolve the issue.

Power Automate for desktop is distributed as a single installer that automatically installs the correct architecture for the operating system. There is no separate public download link for a dedicated 64-bit (x64) vs 32-bit (x86) MSI; the same installer handles both.

To obtain the offline MSI installer (non–Microsoft Store version) and ensure the correct architecture is installed:
