First, can you please go to Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School, and make sure there's no work/school email address listed there, or no mentioning of Azure AD. If there is, please click on it and then click on disconnect. Then restart the computer and see if it is resolved.

If not, or if nothing is listed there, please type cmd in the search on the taskbar and make sure you select "Run As Administrator" to launch Command Prompt.

Then run the following command and hit enter:

gpupdate /force /boot

Restart the computer and see if it helps. If not, launch Command Prompt in Admin mode again and run the following commands, one at a time. Not all of them will go through completely or value can be found, and that's ok. Once finished, restart the computer again and see if it works.

On Windows 10, the message “Some settings are managed by your organization” in Location settings means that a policy is controlling location, even on a home PC. This can be set by:

A previous connection to a work/school account or device management
Third‑party privacy or “anti‑tracking” tools that flip system policies

To see and control what is possible directly in Windows:

Open Start > Settings > Privacy > Location.
At the top, check if the banner says Some settings are managed by your organization. If it does, some options (including turning Location on/off) may be locked by policy.
If Location is available, you can still:
- Turn Location on or off (if not blocked by policy).
- Scroll down and choose which apps can access location under Choose apps that can use your precise location.
- Clear Location history on the device by selecting Clear under Location history.

If the toggle is completely greyed out and changes revert after restart, a third‑party tool may be enforcing the policy. In a similar case, SpyBot AntiBeacon was found to be disabling location; unchecking its “sensors” or similar privacy settings and rebooting restored control.

If the device was ever joined to a work or school environment, those policies can also remain. In that case, removing the work/school account or device management, or asking the admin to relax the policy, is required before Location can be fully controlled from Settings.
