A web-based tool in Microsoft 365 that enables users to quickly create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms.
To reinstall an older version of Word/Office that works on a device which cannot run the newest version, follow the path that matches how Office was originally obtained.
- If Word/Office was a one‑time purchase (for example Office Home & Student 2019) and was linked to a Microsoft account:
- On the device, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to activate the original Office license.
- In Services & subscriptions, locate the Office/Word product (for example Office Home & Student 2019).
- Select Install to download the installer that is offered for that product.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts to complete installation and activation.
- If using a Microsoft 365 subscription and the device cannot install the latest desktop apps:
- Check that the operating system is supported for the current Microsoft 365 apps. The supported systems list is on the system requirements page linked from the installation article.
- If the OS is not supported for the current desktop apps, use the free Microsoft 365 apps in a browser instead: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web?ocid=cmmsv26ibz3.
- If the account or product key is unknown or missing:
- If a product key was included with the purchase, it must be redeemed before installing. Go to https://microsoft365.com/setup, sign in with a Microsoft account, and enter the product key to link it to that account.
- After linking, return to https://account.microsoft.com/services and use Install as in step 1.
If installation fails or the OS is unsupported, use the troubleshooting article for install errors and unsupported operating system messages referenced below, or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
