Use a full Office/Visio repair instead of the in‑app “Repair now” button.
Follow these steps depending on Windows version:
Windows 11
- Right-click the Start button and select Installed apps.
- Find the Microsoft 365/Office/Visio product, click the three dots (…) and choose Modify.
- When prompted:
- For Click-to-Run installations: select Online Repair > Repair.
- For MSI-based installations: select Repair and then Continue.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and restart the computer if prompted.
Windows 10
- Right-click the Start button and select Apps and Features.
- Select the Microsoft 365/Office/Visio product and choose Modify.
- For Click-to-Run installations: choose Online Repair > Repair. For MSI-based installations: choose Repair and then Continue.
- Complete the repair wizard and restart if required.
If Visio is installed as a standalone app, select that specific Visio entry instead of the full suite. If the issue persists after an Online Repair, uninstall Office/Visio from Apps & Features/Installed apps, restart the PC, and then reinstall from the Microsoft account or organization portal.
