Hello,
Polish speaker here. I recently notice when I try to use certain polish sign:
(Right Alt = AltGr, and **AltGr + C = ć)
**Instead of the sign there is a pop up Copilot Window.
Is there a simple way to disable it? Is it a bug? it seems that it should be rather optional feature and not something that prevents me from seamlessly communicate and write on my keyboard. User's image

I'm sorry to hear you're running into this!

At the moment, AltGr is treated as Ctrl + Alt, so AltGr + C (used for ć on Polish keyboards) triggers Ctrl + Alt + C, which opens Copilot. This started after recent Copilot updates and affects multiple non‑English layouts. It’s a design issue.

You can still try these workarounds:

Install Microsoft PowerToys from Microsoft Store
Open Keyboard Manager
Remap Ctrl + Alt + C → Unassigned (or another harmless action)

There is currently no official toggle to exclude AltGr shortcuts. Submitting feedback via Feedback Hub (Windows + F) → Input & Language → Keyboard is recommended so this can be fixed properly.

Hi!

This solution you proposed is unacceptable. Microsoft must make a fix for this in general.
Copilot is being integrated everywhere in Windows/Office in anoying way.
We have several users within our company in Hungary and it's not a solution I must go through on all PCs to make it right with another app....

You can raise your concern directly to the relevant team using Feedback Hub. I also believe that a fix is much needed, as this majorly affect daily use.

My workarounds are only suggested given the current situation while affected users like you raise your voice and wait for an official fix.

Hope this will be taken into consideration and fixed soon!

Hello,

I was able to resolve this issue in Windows 11 by setting up "Customize Copilot key on keyboard" (Win+C) to open Microsoft 365 Copilot app (I have not tested this with regular Copilot app.). After I did this, the application is now ignoring Ctrl+C and I can normally type "ć".

Steps:

Open "Settings"
Go to Bluetooth & Devices
Go to Keyboard
Go to Shortcuts and hotkeys section
Set Customize Copilot key on keyboard action to Microsoft 365 Copilot
