so - open a tix about a missing gift card on 2-17. Gave all of the required info to support multiple times. Had to ask for an update multiple times but no update. Asked here for "what to do" was told to open an escalation tix to support. So I did. The tix was promptly closed & wrapped into the old 46 day old tix with no update. Why is it taking so long to at this point just to return my points ?

Microsoft Q&A and community forums cannot access or modify Microsoft Rewards cases, gift card orders, or point balances, so the delay on an existing ticket cannot be fixed from here.

For a missing or invalid Microsoft Rewards gift card, the only supported path is direct Rewards support so the order and code can be validated and either refunded or replaced. The documented guidance is:

    1. Use the Microsoft Rewards support form so the Rewards team can review the specific order and account:
      • Go to the Microsoft Rewards support page and select “Contact Microsoft Rewards Support.”
      • Provide the order date, reward type, and any confirmation/order numbers, plus screenshots if available.
    2. If the current ticket is stalled, submit a new report referencing the existing ticket number and clearly state that the gift card was never received and that a refund of points or replacement code is requested.
    3. If the issue still is not resolved after multiple tickets, escalate through general Microsoft Support by going to Microsoft Support → Get Help, typing “Microsoft Rewards missing gift card,” and then choosing to talk to an agent (chat or callback where available). Ask them to review and escalate the Rewards case.

In a similar case where a Roblox gift card from Microsoft Rewards could not be redeemed after multiple contacts, the resolution was that Microsoft Rewards refunded the points, and the user then successfully redeemed a new gift card code.
