When I do a search for something like shoes, a VEHICLE, CLOTHES, OR MOST ALL THINGS, My locations shows Pineville NC.

Bing and Edge are using a detected location (such as IP-based location) that is set to Pineville, NC. Update the location in Bing and, if desired, adjust location permissions and activity so searches use the correct place.

1. Update location in Bing
   • Go to Bing and run a local-type search (for example, “restaurants”).
   • When the results page shows a location (currently Pineville, NC), select Change next to that location.
   • Either:
     • Select Allow in the browser popup so Bing can use the device’s current location, or
     • Enter the correct city/ZIP manually and select Remember this location so it is saved and used for future searches.
2. Check Bing Settings preferred location
   • Open Bing Settings.
   • Under location-related settings, update the preferred location to the correct city/area.
   • Save changes so Bing uses this as the default for local results.
3. Verify Windows and browser location permissions (optional)
   • In Windows 11, open Settings > Privacy & security > Location and make sure location services are enabled if location-based results are desired.
   • In Edge, ensure the site permission for Bing allows location when prompted so Bing can use more accurate device-based location instead of only IP-based signals.
4. Review and clear old location activity (optional)
   • Go to the Microsoft privacy dashboard and under Manage your activity data, review Location activity.
   • Clear any old or incorrect location activity if desired.

After these steps, new searches for items like shoes, vehicles, or clothes should use the updated location instead of Pineville, NC.
