I have passed my Microsoft exam and received the confirmation email from Pearson VUE. However, the certificate and exam history are not showing up in my Microsoft Learn profile. I believe there may be a duplicate MCID issue. Please help me merge my profiles

Use these steps to resolve missing certifications and merge duplicate profiles.

    1. Confirm the credential was earned
    1. Check for multiple Learn profiles Missing certifications are often caused by signing in with a different account than the one used when registering for the exam.
    • Sign in to your Learn profile with the account you believe is correct.
    • If you share a computer or have used different accounts (personal Microsoft account and/or work or school account), try signing in with each of those accounts and check Profile → Credentials → Certifications and your Transcript.
    • Also check which email received the Pearson VUE “congratulations” message; that may indicate a different Learn profile.
    1. Merge duplicate Learn profiles (including old Certification/MCID data) If the exam is visible under a different sign-in, you can merge the profiles so all certifications and history appear in one place.

    Important notes:

    • Only one Learn profile may contain a personal Microsoft login account (MSA) for a merge to work.
    • Merging brings together all learning progress, credentials, and transcripts from both profiles and cannot be undone.

    To merge profiles:

    1. Choose which Learn profile you want to keep and sign in to it.
    2. Go to your profile icon → Settings.
    3. Under Account Management, select Add login account.
    4. Sign in with the other login account that is associated with your second Learn profile.
    5. If that account is already tied to another Learn profile, this will trigger a profile merge. All contents (learning progress, credentials, transcripts) from the second profile will be merged into the one you are signed into, and duplicates will be removed.
    6. If the merge would exceed the limit of five work or school login accounts, the merge is canceled; in that case, remove an unneeded work/school account first, then try again.

    After the merge:

    • All certifications and exams should appear under Profile → Credentials → Certifications and in your Transcript.
    • The old MCID is retired; the active identifier is now your Learn Username, visible under Settings → Personal Info, username and URL.
    1. If the certification is still missing If, after checking all accounts and merging profiles, the certification still does not appear:
    • Follow the guidance in Missing Exams or Certifications to verify requirements and sign-in.
    • If the exam was taken through Certiport, be aware that Certiport-earned certifications do not currently sync to Microsoft Learn and must be managed and shared from the Certiport account.
    • For any remaining issues with missing credentials or profile-specific problems (including historical MCID-related questions), contact Microsoft Credentials Support and provide your Learn Username and exam details.
