Online exams are strictly governed by the Microsoft Certification Exam Candidate Agreement and Pearson VUE’s online proctoring rules. Even if some personal network or VPN configurations appear allowed in general guidance, the proctor has final authority to deny or terminate an exam session if anything in the setup is considered to compromise exam security or violate delivery policies.

Because the session was not allowed to proceed, the next steps must go through official support channels; only they can review the incident, confirm what rule was triggered, and advise on rescheduling or any fee/retake considerations:

    1. Contact Microsoft Credentials support
      • Go to Microsoft Credentials support: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
      • Sign in with the same account used to schedule PL-300.
      • Open a support request describing:
        • Exam: PL-300
        • Date/time and delivery method (online via Pearson VUE)
        • That the exam was blocked due to VPN/personal network despite following instructions
        • That payment was made and a receipt was received.
    2. If the issue occurred during the Pearson VUE check-in or with the proctor before launch, also contact Pearson VUE support via the channel indicated on the exam/OnVUE page at the time of the incident so they can document what happened.
    3. For any future online attempts, ensure full compliance with the Candidate Agreement, including:
      • No use of Artificial Intelligence or related products or services during the exam.
      • No non-authorized devices or software running.
      • Strict adherence to all proctor instructions, even if they differ from what was expected.

Support can confirm whether a free reschedule is possible or if a new booking is required.
