I've never seen anything like this! I copy a partial column of numbers from a CSV file (select top cell; shift/select bottom cell; CTRL-C) and paste it into the same number of empty cells in an Excel file (select either top cell OR all the cells; either CTRL-V OR Paste Numbers). One of the middle copied cells -- not the first nor the last -- from the original copy is omitted from the paste so that the past contains one fewer cell than the copy! I am a bit rusty in Excel; am I doing something stupid?
I'm doing this in WIndows 10 Pro (22H2) with ESU and Office Home and Business 2019 (click-to-run, not 365), but I've also tried it in Windows 11 Pro (25H2) and Office Home 2024 (not 365); it worked the same.
Please offer suggestions of what I might be doing wrong! -- JCW2

P.S. to Viorel -- Yes, I opened the CSV in Excel, but the problem is elsewhere.
