Can't Log Into my other account.

Follow these steps in order, using the account that cannot sign in:

1. Use the Sign-in Helper tool
   • Go to the Microsoft Sign-in Helper.
   • Enter the email address or phone number of the Xbox/Microsoft account that will not sign in.
   • Follow the on-screen guidance. If a problem is detected, the tool will tell what to do next; if not, it will walk through self-help steps.
2. Verify the username is correct
   • If messages like “We couldn’t find an account with that username” appear, follow the guidance in My username and password have stopped working:
     1. Go to Recover your account.
     2. Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used on the Xbox/Microsoft account.
     3. Make sure the domain is correct (for example, outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com, or regional variants like .co.uk).
     4. If there are multiple aliases on the account, try another alias or phone number.
3. Reset the password correctly
   • From Recover your account:
     1. Enter the account sign-in ID.
     2. Choose where to receive the security code and select Next.
     3. Enter the code under Verify your identity, then select Next.
     4. Enter a New password, then re-enter it in Re-enter password.
   • After resetting, wait a few minutes and try signing in again on Xbox and other apps.
4. If the account still cannot be found or accessed
   • If the message “The Microsoft account you've entered does not exist” appears when trying to recover or sign in, carefully check spelling and domain.
   • If it is still not recognized, review My username and password have stopped working for next steps, including contacting support if the username appears to have stopped working.
5. If security info or access was changed (possible compromise)
   • If there are signs the account was hacked (unexpected password changes, security info changed, etc.), use the official account recovery and hacked-account guidance:
     • Follow the Microsoft account recovery form guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form and submit the Account recovery form from a familiar device and location.
     • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the verification methods are accessible, support cannot reset or bypass security; only successful self-recovery restores access.
6. If nothing works
   • If the recovery form and sign-in helper do not restore access and the security info has been replaced, there is no alternative method to regain that Microsoft account.
   • For game-specific issues (for example, Minecraft), contact that game’s support separately to see if they can help with licenses tied to the old account.
