Certificate Enquiry

Use the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve a missing certification or certificate on Microsoft Learn:

1. Confirm you actually earned the certification
   • Review the relevant certification or exam details page in the catalog to ensure all required exams were passed for that credential: see the certification or exam details pages.
2. Check the correct Learn profile and login account
   • Make sure you are signing in with the same account used when registering for and taking the exam.
   • If there might be multiple profiles or accounts (work/school vs personal):
     • Sign in to your Learn profile and verify the login account.
     • Try logging into Learn with any other Microsoft accounts that may have been used when registering for the exam.
   • If you have more than one Learn profile, you can merge them so all learning progress and certifications appear in one place. To do this, sign into one profile, go to login account management, choose “add login account”; if that account belongs to another Learn profile, it will trigger a merge and combine credentials and transcripts.
3. Check for known limitations
   • Exams and certifications earned through Certiport do not currently appear in the Microsoft Learn profile. These must be managed and shared from the Certiport account instead.
   • Some legacy/older certifications may have aged out and no longer appear in the Learn profile.
4. Verify transcript and credentials in Learn
   • From the Learn profile:
     • Open the profile (avatar > Profile).
     • Select Transcript to see all successfully completed certifications and modules.
     • Select Credentials > Certifications to see active certifications and details.
   • If the certification appears here, it can be shared or printed as needed.
5. If the certificate itself is missing
   • If the certification requires multiple exams, the certificate is only issued after the final required exam is passed.
   • If the certification is visible but the downloadable certificate is not, use the Certification Dashboard as described in the documentation to access certificates, badges, and transcript.
6. If the certification or exam is still missing
   • Follow the official “Missing Exams or Certifications” guidance:
     • Reconfirm requirements.
     • Reconfirm you are using the correct Learn profile and login account.
   • If it still does not appear, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for account-specific help. They can investigate missing credentials, profile issues, and exam-to-profile linkage problems.
7. For community/Q&A posts
   • Since certification issues are not handled directly in general Q&A forums, open a support request with Microsoft Credentials Support rather than posting personal exam details publicly.
