For macOS 13 (Ventura), Office 2019 can still be installed and activated, but the default download from the Services & subscriptions page may offer only the latest installer, which requires macOS 14 or later. In this case, an older Office for Mac installer that supports Ventura must be used.

Use one of these supported approaches:

Install Office 2019 for Mac from a standalone installer package
1. If any Office apps are currently installed, remove them first:
  - Close Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  - Open Finder → Applications.
  - Control‑click each of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook, then choose Move to Trash.
2. Download an Office for Mac installer that supports perpetual licenses such as Office 2019 Home & Business:
  - Office 2019 for Mac Installer: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=525133
  - (Alternatively, Office 2021 or 2024 installers are also available if the license supports them.)
3. Once the .pkg file is downloaded, open Finder → Downloads and double‑click the installer package.
4. On the first screen, select Continue.
5. Review the license agreement → Continue → Agree.
6. Choose how to install Office → Continue.
7. Review disk space or change install location → Install.
  - To install only specific apps, select Customize and uncheck apps that are not needed.
8. Enter the Mac login password if prompted → Install Software.
9. When installation finishes, select Close.
Activate Office 2019 after installation
1. Open Launchpad in the Dock.
2. Select Microsoft Word.
3. In the What’s New window, select Get Started and follow the prompts to sign in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem the Office 2019 license.
