URGENT: Excel for the Web Completely Broken — Immediate Fix Required

Hello,

I am reporting a critical, workflow-halting regression in Excel for the Web that requires immediate attention. Basic functionality is completely broken and makes the web version unusable for professional work.

Problems:

Partial text copy fails — highlighting part of a cell and pressing Ctrl/Cmd + C copies the entire cell, not the selection. The formula bar is also unreliable.
Cut (Ctrl/Cmd + X) is inconsistent — highlights disappear, the cursor jumps to the start of the cell, and nothing is copied.
Keyboard shortcuts for copy/cut frequently stop working entirely until performing a hard refresh, which no longer consistently fixes the issue.

This occurs in Chrome (including Incognito), is not caused by extensions, and is not a user error. These are fundamental spreadsheet operations — failure of these functions makes Excel Web essentially unusable.

I have already submitted feedback through the portal and posted on the Microsoft forum. The severity of this regression demands escalation to the development/engineering team immediately.

Please confirm receipt and provide a clear timeline for resolution. This is blocking critical work and cannot remain broken.

Excel for the web copy/paste behavior and keyboard shortcuts depend on browser clipboard access. When copy or cut appears broken or inconsistent, a common cause is that the browser is blocking clipboard access for Office.com.

To address clipboard-related failures in Excel for the web in supported browsers:

In Chrome:
1. Open Excel for the web on Office.com.
2. Select the View site information button in the address bar.
3. Locate the Clipboard permission.
4. Toggle Clipboard access to On to allow clipboard access for this site.
In Microsoft Edge:
1. Open Excel for the web on Office.com.
2. Select the Lock icon / View site information button in the address bar.
3. Under Permissions for this site, find Clipboard.
4. Set the Clipboard permission to Allow.

If clipboard access is blocked, copy/cut operations (including partial text selections and keyboard shortcuts) can fail or behave inconsistently, even when the rest of Excel for the web appears to work.
