How to access free visco for school

How download Visco for school I tried and not getting anywhere, I went to the link and followed the instructions bit still having issues.

I would like to provide you with the following information:

For Education licenses, this license package does not include the right to use the Visio application. If you want to use the Visio Desktop App, you need to subscribe to Visio Plan 2.

In case you only want to use Visio for free, Microsoft currently provides Visio Web (Visio Free) for Work/School accounts.

Visio for school use is not automatically free. Access depends on whether the school has assigned a Visio license to the school account.

To check and install Visio for school on Windows:

Confirm the Visio plan
- Visio is not included in the standard Office apps; it is a separate product.
- Only these give access to the desktop app: Visio Plan 2, Visio Professional/Standard 2024, 2021, 2019, 2016.
- Visio Plan 1 only gives access to Visio for the web.
- If unsure which plan is assigned, contact the school/IT admin and ask whether a Visio license (Plan 1 or Plan 2) is on the account.
Sign in with the correct school account
- Go to the Microsoft 365 home page in a browser.
- If already signed in with a personal Microsoft account, sign out.
- Sign back in using the school/work account provided by the institution.
- If account details are forgotten, see the guidance in “I forgot the account I use with Microsoft 365” from the referenced article.
Try to install Visio desktop (if Plan 2 or a perpetual Visio license)
- On the Microsoft 365 home page, select Install apps.
- If needed, first select Apps in the left navigation, then Install apps.
- In the app dropdown, select Visio.
- If Visio does not appear in the list, a Visio license is probably not assigned; contact the school/IT admin and request a Visio license.
- Choose language, then select Install and run the downloaded setup file.
If only Visio Plan 1 is assigned
- Visio Plan 1 does not provide a desktop installer.
- Access is through Visio for the web only, as described under the Web tab in the Visio article.
- If a desktop app is needed for class, ask the school/IT admin whether Visio Plan 2 or a desktop Visio license can be assigned.
If no Visio license is assigned
- Visio must be purchased or provided by the school; it is not part of the free Microsoft 365 Education offer by default.
- Ask the school/IT department whether they provide Visio and can assign a license to the school account.

If after signing in with the correct school account Visio still does not show under Install apps, the issue is almost always that no Visio license is assigned, and only the school/IT admin can fix that.
