Edge workspaces DISAPPEARED!!

I work with this stuff, a browser can't just delete everything. My browser was open while I was working in a different application. When I go back to the browser, there's nothing, wasn't even displaying the contents of the page it was on. Closed it, opened it again, no tabs, workspaces dropdown completely empty.
Is there a way to restore them??

This is a CRITICAL bug, randomly destroying user data. Hope someone takes this seriously

This happened to me as well. I lost it on my laptop first but noticed them still on my desktop. Whatever you do, DO NOT Reset sync data! That wiped my desktop out as well and I lost all workspaces. I lost around 14 workspaces with 20-100 tabs each. I can still see the workspaces in my favorites as well which is strange. This was a huge blunder, and I haven't even seen an acknowledgement from MS yet.

When it happened to me, I immediately tried signing out and then signing back into the Microsoft account it worked for me.

Edge Workspaces can disappear if the feature or profile state changes. There is no documented way to recover deleted or missing workspaces once they are gone.

To prevent data loss going forward and to confirm whether Workspaces are available and active:

Verify Workspaces availability and sign-in
- Edge Workspaces require:
  - Windows 10/11 or macOS (desktop only)
  - Microsoft Edge version 144 or later
  - Being signed into Edge with a Microsoft account (MSA) or Microsoft Entra ID/AAD account.
- In Edge, confirm the profile is signed in with the same account previously used for the workspaces.
Check the Workspaces UI
- Select the Workspaces icon in the top-left corner.
- If the dropdown is completely empty, there is no supported mechanism in the product to restore prior workspaces.
Recreate workspaces
- To continue working, new workspaces must be created:
  1. Select the Workspaces icon.
  2. Select Create new and choose Save tabs to a workspace or Create a workspace.
  3. Enter a name, choose a color, and select Done.
Report the issue to Microsoft
- Since the browser crashed/cleared state unexpectedly, send feedback so telemetry and logs can be reviewed:
  - Select Settings and more (⋯) > Help and feedback > Send feedback and describe that all workspaces disappeared while Edge was open.

If Edge itself is unstable or repeatedly losing state, also consider clearing cache or repairing Edge as described in the troubleshooting article, then monitor whether the issue recurs.
