unable to Deploy AI model - where as its support in those region

I ran into the exact same thing a while back — this error doesn't mean the model isn't supported in that region, it just means there's no available capacity allocated to your subscription for Global Standard SKU in eastus2 at that moment.

Here's what worked for me:

1. Check your quota first Go to Azure AI Foundry → Management → Quotas, pick the eastus2 region, and look at your Global Standard quota for that model family. Chances are it's sitting at 0 TPM — that's the root cause.

2. Request a quota increase Click "Request quota" on that line and ask for the TPM you need. It's not instant — could take a day or two depending on the size and region demand, but that's the proper fix.

3. Quick unblock in the meantime If you're stuck and can't wait, try deploying the same model in a different supported region like australia east or west us — Global Standard is available there too and usually has more headroom. Sweden Central was also constantly saturated for me whenever I tried.

4. If quota shows non-zero but still failing That's when you open a support ticket with Microsoft. Give them your subscription ID, region, exact error message, and timestamp — they can check backend capacity on their end.

This message usually does not mean the model is unsupported in that region. It usually means there is no available capacity for the GlobalStandard deployment type in that region at the moment for your subscription. In other words, the region can be listed as supported, but the capacity pool you can use there might be full or your regional quota for that model and deployment type might be zero.

Here are a few simple things you can check that normally help.

First, check your quota for that model in that region. In Azure OpenAI and Foundry, quotas are scoped per subscription, per region, and per model or deployment type. Tokens per minute and requests per minute are managed region by region, not globally. So, you can have quota in one region and still have no usable quota in another region.

Second, if your quota in East US 2 for GlobalStandard is low or already used, reduce the deployment capacity you request and try again. If the region is currently saturated, even a small capacity request can fail, but trying a smaller capacity is a quick way to confirm whether it is a capacity pressure issue.

Third, try another supported region with GlobalStandard. Even when a model is supported in multiple regions, availability can vary by region and can change based on demand. The Foundry region guidance also mentions that feature availability might vary by region and recommends verifying model and quota availability before deployment.

Fourth, if Sweden Central shows the same message, that still fits the same pattern. Supported does not always mean capacity is available right now in that region for the GlobalStandard SKU.
