Issue with Excel Copying and pasting

Hi there,

My Excel has suddenly stopped C&P correctly. I have some text in cells, but I only want to copy and paste a specific part of that text into another cell. However, even when I double click, highlight the text that I want and press CTRL + C, it just pastes the ENTIRE cell text into the target cell when I press CTRL + V.

Very annoying and I don't know why this is happening all of a sudden.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Warm regards,

Marco

Temporary fix workaround, select the text you want to copy then CTRL+X (CUT) -> CTRL+Z (UNDO)

and then you can paste CTRL+V only selected the text.

Mine has been doing it for about 2 days now. The only thing that we have found that actually works right now is if you either go to the data tab and go get external data from text you can actually take it and upload that file that you need and it will input it into the Excel boxes. Or if you click on the line and you right click copy go to the spreadsheet that you are wanting to have it pasted in and go to the second 1,2,3 values of the paste options and that will work.
