    Hi Ashland Ware

To clarify, Visio is not automatically included in most Microsoft 365 Education licenses.

The Visio desktop application requires a separate license, such as Visio Plan 2 or a non‑subscription version like Visio Professional or Visio Standard (2024, 2021, or 2019). These are not included in standard Microsoft 365 Education plans.

    • You can check whether a Visio license is assigned to your account by signing in at: My account

If Visio does not appear in your app list, it usually means that no Visio license is currently assigned to your account. In that case, the only available option is Visio for the web. To access Visio for the web:

For reference: Install Visio or access Visio for the web (Microsoft Support)

If your assignment specifically requires the desktop version of Visio, your school must assign you a Visio license. Please check with your school or university IT department to confirm whether Visio is available to you and how it can be installed.

Please let me know how you get on, as your feedback is valuable to the community.
