A collaborative workspace app in Microsoft 365 designed to help teams co-create, stay organized, and work together in real time across apps and devices.
Use the following checks and workarounds to restore basic page operations in Loop:
- Confirm Loop and policy configuration
Loop creation and management can be blocked by admin policy. Ask the Microsoft 365 admin to verify in Cloud Policy that the following are not disabled for the affected account:- Create Loop workspaces in Loop
- Create and view Loop files in Microsoft apps that support Loop
If both are disabled for the user, the personal SharePoint Embedded container that Loop uses for My workspace and pages cannot be created, which can prevent normal page operations. Enabling at least one of these policies for the user allows the container to be created and used.
- Check where the page is stored
Loop pages and components are stored in different places depending on where they were created:- Loop My workspace / shared Loop workspaces → SharePoint Embedded containers.
- Teams channels → Channel’s SharePoint site (Shared Documents folder).
- Teams chats/meetings, Outlook, OneNote, Whiteboard → OneDrive or SharePoint folders listed in the “Creation path view of the admin policy settings”.
If the underlying storage location (SharePoint or OneDrive) is restricted, deleted, or the user has lost permissions, creating, duplicating, or deleting pages can fail. Have an admin confirm that: - The user still has access to the relevant SharePoint/OneDrive location.
- The site or container has not been moved or deleted.
- Try managing pages from the storage location
If the issue is with a page linked to Teams or Planner:- For Teams channel pages:
- To delete the tab only: right‑click the tab in Teams → Remove.
- To delete the page content: go to the channel’s SharePoint → locate the Loop page file → More options (…) → Delete → confirm Delete.
- If needed, permanently delete it from the SharePoint Recycle bin.
- For Planner/Project Manager agent Loop pages:
- Navigate to the page in Loop.
- Select More options (…) in the top‑right → Delete → confirm Delete.
Note: deleting the associated Planner task does not delete the Loop page; it must be deleted from the page itself/SharePoint.
- For Teams channel pages:
- Check for workspace/container lifecycle issues
Loop workspaces and My workspace content live in SharePoint Embedded containers and follow SharePoint/OneDrive lifecycle rules. If the user account or container is in a deletion or move state (for example, after account changes or geo moves), some operations like creating or deleting pages may fail until the move completes or the container is restored. An admin should:- Verify the container is healthy and not in the middle of a geo move.
- Confirm it has not been scheduled for deletion.
- If the issue persists
- Capture where the page lives (My workspace, shared workspace, Teams, Planner, etc.).
- Have an admin validate the above policy and storage checks.
- If everything is correctly configured and the problem continues, escalate through Microsoft 365 support with these details, as it may be a service-side issue with Loop or its SharePoint Embedded container.
