Casting display disconnects without prompting

I would like to cast my display to a projector. To do so I've been typing windows K, my projector is found, I connect and then within less than a minute, it disconnects. What do I need to do to make my display cast without disconnecting?

    Can I confirm if you have have used the projector before without issues and how far away is the projector to your PC?

    The fastest way to test it if there are interference over wireless connectivity is by using a cable to connect you computer to the projector via HDMI/USB-C. (connection is correct since it can cast few seconds/minutes, it just loses the connection)
