they used to appear on my main calendar for years without issues.

suddenly that stopped and now all I can see is holidays up to a given date in December 2026.

I tried removing and reinstalling the holidays but that didn't help

No one is actually addressing this issue which used to work so effortlessly in the past.

Outlook Classic used to include special Holiday files that you could use to populate your Calendar. The last Jewish Holiday file from Microsoft stops in 2026.

It mean how difficult does it have to be to have holidays input into outlook calendar ?!

You will have to get a Jewish Holiday file from a source other than Microsoft. Forum rules prevent me from posting external URLs. So ask your favorite AI this question and you should get some hits.

"Classic Outlook" How to add Jewish Holidays past 2026 to my Calendar?

    Hi Albert Perez,

In Outlook for Microsoft 365 / Outlook 2016 / 2019, the built‑in holiday set that gets imported into Classic Outlook only covers Gregorian years up through 2026. Because of that, Jewish and Israeli holidays can appear to stop part‑way through December 2026, even though observances like Hanukkah continue later in the month. Re‑adding the holidays in Classic Outlook doesn’t extend that range.

It’s also important to note that Outlook on the web (Outlook.com) uses a different holiday calendar from the old imported list in Classic Outlook. That online holiday calendar continues beyond 2026 and often appears as a separate calendar.

To check how things are set up on your side, please look at the following:

In Outlook.com / Outlook on the web, open Calendar and navigate to a date in 2027. If holidays appear there, the online holiday calendar is working as expected.

    • In Classic Outlook, check the left pane under My Calendars / Other Calendars and make sure the holiday calendar is selected.
    • If you want the holidays to appear together with your main calendar, turn on both calendars and use Overlay view (right‑click the holiday calendar and choose Overlay, or drag it on top of your main calendar).
    • If your main calendar still contains older, previously imported holiday entries, consider removing those older items to avoid confusion or duplicates.

If holidays appear correctly on the web after 2026 but Classic Outlook still stops around December 2026, that usually points to a local display or profile issue in Classic Outlook, rather than a problem with the holiday data itself. Testing in Safe Mode or with a new Outlook profile can help rule out add‑ins or profile corruption.

To help narrow it down, could you please confirm:

    • Do the holidays appear in Outlook.com when you check dates in 2027?
    • In Classic Outlook, do they appear when the holiday calendar is enabled and shown using Overlay view?

Please let me know if this proves useful to you, or if you would like further assistance.

I'm looking forward to your reply.

In classic Outlook, built‑in holiday data is only provided for a limited range of years. For Outlook for Microsoft 365, Outlook 2019, and Outlook 2016, the included holiday set covers Gregorian calendar years 2016–2026. That is why Jewish and Israeli holidays stop appearing after a specific date in December 2026, and removing/re‑adding the holidays does not extend them further.

To address this, use one of these approaches:

    1. Use Outlook on the web holiday calendars (recommended)
      • In Outlook on the web or Outlook.com, go to Calendar.
      • Select Add a calendar.
      • Select Holidays.
      • Add the relevant holiday calendars (for example, Israel and any others needed).
      • These online holiday calendars receive automatic updates when holidays are added or changed and are not limited to the 2016–2026 range.
    2. Remove old imported holidays from classic Outlook (to avoid duplicates) If holidays were previously imported into classic Outlook for Windows and a web holiday calendar is also added, duplicates may appear for the overlapping years. To clean up the old imported holidays in classic Outlook:
      1. In classic Outlook, open Calendar.
      2. Choose View > Change View > List.
      3. In the Arrangement group, choose Categories.
      4. Scroll to the Holidays category.
      5. Select the holidays to remove (for example, all for a given location), then choose Home > Delete.
      6. Return to normal view with View > Change View > Calendar.

There is no built‑in way in classic Outlook to extend the Microsoft‑supplied holiday set beyond 2026; using Outlook on the web’s holiday calendars is the supported method to get holidays that continue after that date and stay updated.
