I recently purchased a new Lenovo LOQ laptop that includes 3 months of PC Game Pass free.

When I try to claim the offer from Microsoft Store under “Included with device”, I get this error:

“Try that again. Something happened on our end.”

I have already:

Updated Windows completely

Reset Microsoft Store (wsreset)

Reset Xbox app and Gaming Services

Restarted multiple times

But the error still appears.

My Microsoft account email: [your email] Device name: Lenovo LOQ (visible in my Microsoft Devices page)

Please help me manually activate or attach the 3-month PC Game Pass offer to my account.

Thank you.

The error message indicates a Microsoft Store–side problem rather than something that can be fixed locally, especially since Windows, Microsoft Store, Xbox app, and Gaming Services have already been reset and updated.

Because the 3‑month PC Game Pass promotion is tied to the device and account, and self‑service redemption is failing with “Try that again. Something happened on our end.”, the remaining path is direct support escalation so the entitlement can be checked and, if eligible, applied manually.

Use the official Xbox/Microsoft support channel for Game Pass and promotional entitlements:

    1. Go to Xbox support: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us
    2. Choose the options related to “Subscriptions & billing” or “Xbox Game Pass” and then “Promotions” or “Code/Token issues” if available.
    3. Provide:
      • Proof of purchase for the Lenovo LOQ device.
      • The Microsoft account ID (email address) used in Microsoft Store and Xbox app.
      • A description of the error text: “Try that again. Something happened on our end.”
      • Confirmation that the device appears under the Microsoft account’s Devices page.
    4. Ask support to verify the device‑bound 3‑month PC Game Pass offer and, if necessary, to grant or apply the entitlement manually to the account.

If there are any outstanding payment or account issues, resolve them first, as they can block Store purchases or redemptions:

    1. Verify payment methods and any past‑due subscriptions:
      • Check that credit/debit card or other payment options are valid and up to date on the Payment options page.
      • Confirm there are no past‑due Microsoft subscriptions on the Services page.
      • Ensure the account is not temporarily suspended and that any Xbox account enforcement issues are cleared.
    2. After resolving any billing or suspension issues, retry claiming the offer from Microsoft Store → Library → Included with device.

If redemption still fails after billing/account issues are cleared, return to Xbox support with that information so they can investigate and attach the promotion manually.
