Cant make payment when register exam (AZ-900)

The error indicates the card or payment method is being declined by the bank or isn’t accepted for this type of Microsoft transaction.

Try the following steps:

1. Check card eligibility and details
   • Ensure the card is not a virtual or prepaid card; these are not accepted for many Microsoft/Azure-related payments.
   • Confirm the card is issued in the same country/region as the account/tenant.
   • Verify that the name, billing address, and CVV entered on the payment page match exactly what is printed on the card and on the bank statement.
2. Check with the bank/card issuer
   • Ask the bank to confirm:
     • The card is active and not blocked.
     • International/online transactions are enabled.
     • There are sufficient funds/credit and no security blocks on Microsoft or recurring payments.
3. Try a different supported payment method
   • Use a different credit or debit card that meets the above conditions (not virtual or prepaid, correct region, enabled for international/online use).
4. Clear browser issues and retry
   • Sign out of all Microsoft/Azure sessions.
   • Open a private/incognito or InPrivate browser session and retry the registration and payment.
   • If it still fails, try a different browser and clear cookies/cache.
5. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft support
   • Since the payment is repeatedly declined even after trying multiple valid methods, contact Microsoft support so they can review the transaction attempt and provide exam-specific billing help.
