Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
Verification for Partner Center company accounts normally takes about 3–5 business days. A delay of around 10 days indicates that the application is likely in extended/manual review and requires direct support intervention.
Based on the documented behavior:
- Why the account is still not validated
- When information in the company profile (company name, address, registration ID, or primary contact details) doesn’t clearly match official business records, Microsoft may place the verification into additional review.
- For customers and partners, updating billing or legal details can also re-trigger verification and keep the account in an "under review" or "pending" state until the new information is validated.
- Whether additional documents or actions are required
- For enrollment and company verification, Microsoft validates three areas: Email Ownership, Employment, and Business. Even if email ownership is complete, employment and business verification may still be in progress or need more evidence.
- If verification is Action required/Rejected, the Account Verification pane under Account Settings | Legal Info will show the reason and what to upload. In that case, use Fix now and upload the requested documents and comments.
- If the status is simply Pending, and all requested steps (email verification, document upload, phone call) are complete, no further self-service action is typically required; the case is waiting on Microsoft’s review.
- Whether this delay is normal and what to do next
- Documentation states that verification usually completes within 3–5 business days. If more than five days pass without completion, the guidance is to contact support for assistance.
- Since this case has been pending for about 10 days, it falls outside the normal window and should be escalated via a Partner Center support ticket. Use the Partner Center dashboard to open a support request so that the verification team can review the specific tenant and advise if any additional documentation is required.
- While the account remains in pending/in-progress status, many Partner Center functions (such as new purchases, upgrades, publishing, tax/payout profile updates, and some account changes) will remain blocked until verification is completed and the status changes to Authorized/Accepted.
Recommended next steps:
- Go to Account Settings | Legal Info in Partner Center and confirm the current verification status and any error or “Action required” message.
- If the status is Action required/Rejected, select Fix now, choose the appropriate document type, add clarifying comments, and upload updated documentation.
- If the status is Pending and has been so for more than five business days (as in this case), open a Partner Center support ticket from the dashboard so the verification team can manually review and respond via a private channel, where company details can be safely shared.
