We are using microsoft copilot using "Chat" widget in edge browser. It says this is copilot chat (Basic) plan. We are concerned about privacy risks. Could you clarify if our company data are shared or covered under our M365 License and considered secure?

We are using Microsoft Copilot through the “Chat” widget in the Edge browser. It indicates that this is the Copilot Chat (Basic) plan, where Copilot uses web data, files you add, or content you’re viewing in the app—but not work data from Work IQ.

Could you please explain what exactly this means? We are concerned about potential privacy risks. Could you please clarify whether any of our company data is being shared with Copilot on the web? Or is this usage covered under our Microsoft 365 license and considered secure?
