PostgreSQL database set up with Azure

I have created my Web App with Azure and now want to bring my PostgreSQL database over to Azure. When I try to subscribe and set up an Azure PostgreSQL database, I get to the final step and click 'Create' but the operation just hangs and the Validate button just continually shows a blue circle. I have tried the whole set up twice now and left the validating overnight but still no luck. Can you advise what the problem might be?
