Certification structure:
- The certification is called Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Microsoft 365 Apps).
- To earn it, pass three of the following exams.
- All three must be in different programs, and at least one must be a Microsoft 365 Apps exam.
Eligible exams:
- MO-110: Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps)
- MO-210: Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps)
- MO-310: Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft 365 Apps)
- MO-410: Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft 365 Apps) – coming soon
- MO-100: Microsoft Word (Office 2019)
- MO-200: Microsoft Excel (Office 2019)
- MO-300: Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 2019)
- MO-400: Microsoft Outlook (Office 2019)
How to get started:
- Decide which three applications to certify in (for example: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ensure that at least one of the chosen exams is a Microsoft 365 Apps version (MO-110, MO-210, or MO-310; Outlook MO-410 when available).
- Use Microsoft Learn, Viva Learning, or LinkedIn Learning for self-paced preparation:
- Microsoft Learn offers free online training and learning paths for Microsoft 365.
- Viva Learning and LinkedIn Learning provide additional video-based courses for Microsoft 365 and Office.
- When ready, schedule and take each MOS exam through an authorized exam provider (such as Certiport) according to local availability.
For structured training and scheduling in Uganda, a local Microsoft Learning Partner or Global Training Partner can help organize instructor-led or virtual training and guide through registration and exam logistics.
