To get more actionable crash information:

1. Use the certification report details
   • Review the certification report associated with the failed submission. It will state which test failed (for example, a technical compliance test run by the Windows App Certification Kit) or which Microsoft Store policy was not met.
   • Use that failure code or policy reference to reproduce the issue locally.
2. Reproduce and debug locally with Windows App Certification Kit
   • Run the Windows App Certification Kit locally against the same package that was submitted.
   • This is the same tool used for technical compliance tests during certification, and running it locally typically surfaces the same crashes with full diagnostic detail (call stacks, error codes, etc.).
   • Fix the issues found, rebuild, and rerun the tests until they pass before resubmitting.
3. Use runtime crash analytics after deployment
   • After the app is successfully certified and published, use the Microsoft Store analytics Health report to monitor crashes and unresponsive events in production.
   • In the dashboard, open the app and go to the Health report to:
     • View crash and failure summaries.
     • Drill into individual failures and download stack traces or CAB files for debugging.
     • Upload symbol files (.pdb in a .zip) via Upload symbols so stack traces resolve to app code instead of unknown frames.
4. If the report is unclear
   • If the certification report does not clearly indicate which test or policy failed, respond directly to the certification report email or use the contact channel indicated in the report to request clarification on the failure category (for example, whether it was a security, technical, or content compliance issue).
