Endless obstructions to signing in with password - tries and fails to enable Bluetooth + create Passkey (when never asked to)

Signing in to email used to be simple. Now there are separate pages for entering email, then password - and I do select password, not a passkey or anything else.

However, after entering my password on the specific "enter password" screen - I then get a 3rd screen where Outlook.com inexplicably tries to enable Bluetooth. passkey 1

Despite me specifically avoiding this Passkey option in the first place!

I then get sent to a 4th page telling me this failed.

passkey 2

...and then there's a 5th screen asking me if I want to stay signed in.

*Sometimes there's even a 6th screen saying Outlook has updated something or other.

This used to all take 1 simple screen! - Username + Password - remember those days?! Ahh...

Finally I am allowed to get into my emails.
