Live in Windows Update.

This is a pipeline test that per the blog

in supposed to give us 26300.7966, but

it's still on 26300.7965.

The Blog says the build # will not change after a Restart,

so why say it will. A restart will be required; device build version will not change post update"

KB-based pipeline tests and Insider build numbers do not always advance immediately, even when a servicing pipeline test is live in Windows Update. Insider builds in the Dev Channel come directly from the active development branch and can include work-in-progress servicing updates that are validated gradually.

If KB5082257 is a servicing/pipeline test targeting build 26300.7966 but the device remains on 26300.7965, this can be expected behavior while the rollout is being validated or throttled. The correct action is to continue monitoring Windows Update and track the feedback already filed in Feedback Hub so engineers can correlate logs and adjust the rollout as needed.

    For any Insider servicing anomaly:

    1. Confirm the device is correctly enrolled in the Dev Channel.
    2. Use Feedback Hub to submit or update existing feedback, ensuring the correct category is chosen so it routes to the right team.
    3. Monitor subsequent Dev Channel releases; newer builds or servicing updates may supersede the pipeline test and move the device to the expected build number.
