How Do I engage Support To "UnStick" a deletion request

Thank you for reaching us regarding the issue of App Service Environment (ASE) is stuck in “Scheduled Delete” and you need the Azure backend team to force-clear it.

There is no self‑service workaround available through the Azure portal, CLI, or PowerShell. This condition typically indicates that an Azure backend cleanup operation failed, and only Microsoft engineering can resolve it by performing a backend force deletion. For this you need to create support ticket.

If an App Service Environment is stuck in Scheduled Delete, there is nothing u can fix from the portal side, this is almost always a backend cleanup job that failed and now needs Microsoft to force it.

To get it unstuck u need to open a support ticket under Azure portal > Help + support > Create a support request >

Issue type: Technical

Service: App Service

Problem type: App Service Environment & choose something like Delete or Resource stuck in deleting state. dont forget include the subscription ID, resource group name, ASE name, region and the approximate time when deletion was triggered. Mention clearly that the resource is stuck in Scheduled Delete and u are requesting a backend force deletion.

If u cannot open ticket because of plan limitations, try contact billing support and ask them to route u to technical or have someone with Owner role on the subscription open the case. Only Microsoft engineering can clear a stuck ASE delete there is no self service workaround.
